STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor | Jedha - Desert and Mesa |

For the Jedha open desert and Mesa areas, I was responsible for the lighting under the guidance of my Art Director, Nate Stephens and Lighting Lead, Matthew Cooke. This area was the biggest one I ever did in my career. I wanted to create the believable feeling of hot desert with wind gusting everywhere. It required balance between the lighting intensity and indirect lighting. Also I knew that all that is happening on the horizon is the true seller of the mood so I focused heavily on creating proper atmosphere settings to make the desert look great.
It was pure joy to give another layer to the beautiful job done by the Environment Art team, giving a light to all the caves and ruins scattered across the sands of Jedha.
